(No) Body
2023 - 2024
Bodies are controlled by time. This idea has been explored throughout art history, whether depicting death, birth, or manifestations of memories as images. Humans schedule their lives around measured time, and may rush to get things accomplished “on time”. While we may try to control time through methods such as clocks, it consistently marches forwards, as it has forever. Once accepting time, the body narrative changes: we only exist in the now. Utilizing methods of performance art, painting, drawing, and photography, the results explore time as experienced in particular moments that influence future actions.
